This day January 1st, 2007 has changed our lives forever. This is our version of the day’s events. Mom and Diane (sister) have had a couple of really hard days
and nights. Diane had become our “living angel” to help especially Mom with Dads needs.
The night before, the power went out seemed like in the whole city of Danville. But Mom got enough oxygen to last for many hours for Dad. I had to work that day (as I did many days) so I was not able to help with Dad until around 3:00 in the afternoon.
On January 1st Debbie,(sister) Amanda(my daughter) and I were there and we could see Mom and Diane was totally exhausted from lack of sleep. So we ordered them to bed to take a nap. Diane wanted woke up in 2 hours. So Debbie and I took care of Dad…Boy was he restless. If this was anything like what Mom and Diane have done I can never tell them thank you enough for taking care of Dad when I could not. Dad was very restless. Lay in his hospital bed at home for 2 minutes then he would want up.. sit in his chair.. We all do not know what would have happened if Diane did not stay for all of us after Christmas. I do not think she knows how much she was appreciated....
